Ster-Projekt buys shares from EDB


2004-01-08

Norway-based EDB Business Partner has sold its 51% stake in the company EDB Ster Polska SA, specialising in services for the banking sector, to Polish IT integrator Ster-Projekt SA. The price agreed for the shares amounts to NOK 3.4m (PLN 2m). EDB and Ster-Projekt established a jointly-owned company in November 2001. In an official statement, EDB's Vice President has explained that EDB no longer intends to own and operate its own companies outside the Nordic countries, but will instead collaborate with strategic partners in particular markets. Ster-Projekt is to be such a partner in sales of selected EDB products to the Polish market.
