Dialog to be listed in 2008
2007-03-15
Telefonia Dialog, the alternative telecommunications operator, is considering entering the Warsaw Stock Exchange (GPW) in 2008. The funds raised via the IPO will be used for acquisitions and the provision of services based on local loop unbundling (LLU).
Dialog’s plans for 2007 envisage attracting 100,000 subscribers for voice services offered on the basis of a wholesale line rental (WLR) agreement with TP SA. The telco is also going to sell broadband subscriptions to the incumbent’s clients. This will, however, require more time, as Dialog has to build connection points with the TP SA network. The company explains that this is necessary because its network is built with the use of technology different from that of the incumbent. Dialog plans to start a campaign advertising the bitstream access-based broadband service in the autumn of 2007.
Dialog is also about to conclude its negotiations with Polkomtel, the operator of the Plus and Sami Swoi mobile networks, on the commencement of operations as a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO). If the mobile operator’s supervisory board approves the agreement, Dialog will be able to launch its mobile offer at the end of the third quarter of the year or at the beginning of the fourth. The MVNO offer is to be addressed initially to the existing clients of Dialog.
The company is going to launch an offer which combines fixed-line and mobile telephony, along with internet access and IP TV, as soon as possible.
