TP SA and Multimedia Polska to link their networks
2007-03-30
Multimedia Polska, a cable TV operator, has announced that it has signed an agreement with TP SA on linking up the companies’ networks in order to make possible the provision of telecommunication services.
The agreement has been signed for an unspecified period, and Multimedia Polska’s obligations resulting from it come to around PLN 30m (€7.7m). The agreement allows the CaTV operator to set up new connection points with the incumbent’s network, in order to reduce the cost of calls from one network to another. It is also designed to facilitate the offer of new telecommunications services which Multimedia Polska intends to put forward in the future via the TP SA infrastructure. These will include wholesale line rental (WLR) and other services based on local loop unbundling (LLU) which should be made available in the second half of 2007.
