BCC implements a recruitment portal for PTC

BCC, an IT consulting company, has implemented an online recruitment portal for PTC, the operator of the Era and Heyah mobile networks. The project is based on the SAP E-Recruiting system.
PTC recruits a large number of people every year, and this requires the processing of around 40,000 applications per annum. The candidates are able to search for jobs online via the portal and to submit their applications via the internet. The person who carries out the recruitment process can specify the information which is relevant to a given post, and a candidate may attach documents which describe him or her in a more detailed manner. The use of an IT system makes possible a reduction in the number of hard-copy documents used during the recruitment process.
The implementation started in January 2006, and in December the system was available for internal recruitment procedures. In mid-February the solution was also made available for external candidates.
