UKE’s TP SA fine rejected by the court
2007-03-30
The Court of Competition and Consumer Protection has overturned the decision of the Office of Electronic Communications (UKE) to fine TP SA PLN 1m (€0.26).
The regulator fined the incumbent because it had failed to inform its clients of the cost of calls to premium rate numbers (0-300, 0-400, 0-700). The Court ruled that the UKE had not looked into the operator’s ability to provide such information.
