Google to receive government support
2007-04-05
The government has decided to support Google with a grant to employ 80 people at its Krakow R&D centre and another 200 at a service centre in Wroclaw.
The company announced a few months ago that it was going to set up a research and development centre in Krakow. The facility has already commenced operations and employs a small number of people at the moment. Google was not, however, able to find enough office space there and decided to locate the innovation centre elsewhere. According to sources quoted by Puls Biznesu, the Wroclaw centre is to be Google’s second largest such facility in Europe, after that in Dublin.
The company itself has not confirmed the reports about the Wroclaw centre. At the moment, Google is recruiting employees for its offices in Warsaw and Krakow.
