Poland has most .eu domain names in CEE

Poland takes pride of place among the Central and Eastern European (CEE) members of the European Union in terms of the number of active registered internet addresses with the .eu domain. On 11 April 2007 there were 82,451 such addresses registered for Polish users.
The Czech Republic is second in the ranking, but given the fact that Poland’s population is much larger, it should be noted that the Czech users are more interested pro rata in obtaining a .eu address.
The total number of .eu domain names registered in the EU as a whole has crossed the 2.5 million threshold, and the country which has the most such addresses is Germany, where the number is close to 770,000.
