Cineman to distribute films via the internet
2007-04-27
Cineman, a company established by the listed IT company ATM and the film distributor Monolith Films, has announced that it is going to launch two new services: online cinema and video on demand.
Online cinema is aimed at the owners of internet portals, and the programme will change on a daily basis. Access to a film will cost PLN 5 (€1.3). The other service is to be offered to the operators of telecommunications networks. Users will have access to the film for 24 hours for PLN 6-12 (€1.6-3.2). The films will be secured via the Digital Rights Management system and can be played in Windows Media Player on a computer, or on a television set or Xbox 360 games console.
