TelForceOne may revise 2007 forecast
2007-05-10
TelForceOne, a manufacturer and distributor of mobile phone accessories, has reported that in April it earned PLN 4.60m (€1.2m), in contrast to PLN 2.97m (€0.78m) in the corresponding period of last year.
Cumulatively, between January and April, the company’s revenues came to PLN 19.69m (€5.2m), whereas a year ago the figure was PLN 14.14m (€3.7m). The firm has decided to publish information on its revenues on a monthly basis.
The distributor is standing by its forecast for 2007 and expects that it will earn PLN 107.9m (€28.4m) and net PLN 9.2m (€2.4m). It may, however, present more optimistic predictions after the first half of the year because of the rapid growth observed so far. The company’s plans for the near future envisage the launch of at least one subsidiary in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). More subsidiaries in the region will follow, as TelForceOne intends to become the largest distributor of mobile accessories in the CEE. The company insists that it is holding negotiations on acquisitions in Poland and in other countries of the region. TelForceOne has said that if the acquisitions do not come to pass, it will embark upon more green field investments. These should not, according to the distributor, have a detrimental effect on the parent company’s results, and they are expected to break even within a year.
