Agito to go public and compete with electronics chains

2007-05-10

The online electronics store Agito is going to enter the Warsaw Stock Exchange (GPW) in order to raise funds to allow it to compete with retail electronics chains.
The sales revenues of Agito in 2006 exceeded PLN 53m (€13.9m), and the company predicts that in 2007 the figure might triple. At the moment, the firm is selling chiefly computer hardware and consumer electronics appliances. Agito intends to offer white goods in order to boost its revenues.

The company also plans to offer services. At the moment, it runs an online store for Plus, a mobile telephony network owned by Polkomtel, through which it sells services, handsets and accessories. Agito regards the mobile market as a very dynamic one and is considering offering multimedia content for mobile phones in the future.

The company has not disclosed the number of shares are to be issued or the amount of money it hopes to raise from the IPO.
