More than threefold increase in Netmedia’s revenues
2007-05-17
Netmedia, a company which operates in the field of e-commerce, has reported that it netted PLN 354,000 (€94,000) in the first quarter of 2007. This reflects 63% growth in comparison with the corresponding period of 2006. Its revenues increased by 366% year-on-year to PLN 2.8m (€0.74m).
According to the company, net profit increased because of higher sales margins, made possible by the launch of Netmedia’s own system for online hotel reservations. At the same time, the firm claims that the purchase of rights to internet domain names owned by Travelling On-Line Radoslaw Fajkowski, and of a stake in eHotele.pl, had little impact on the Q1 results, as the companies and websites purchased were integrated only at the end of April.
