2007-05-25
Tell, the largest distributor of the services of PTK Centertel, the operator of the Orange mobile network, has reported that at the end of the first quarter of 2007 it had 267 points of sale, which means that the number of stores has doubled in a year.
Revenues have increased by 85% year-on-year to PLN 60.2m (€15.8m) in Q1 2007. The most substantial growth was observed in the pre-paid arena, which brought in PLN 30m (€7.9m). The group’s net profit grew from PLN 1.27m (€0.33m) in Q1 2006 to PLN 1.52m (€0.4m). The company says that the increase in pre-paid sales was a result of the expansion of Tell’s retail network. The distributor has acquired part of Havo, which has 100 points of sale.
Tell stated that it intends to have 100 stores distributing the services of the mobile operators of networks other than Orange.
