UKE intends to penalise spamming
2007-05-25
The Office of Electronic Communications (the UKE) is intending to introduce penalties for sending spam. A draft amendment to the Telecommunications Law envisages that the fine for sending unwanted e-mails might be as much as PLN 100,000 (€26,300).
In accordance with the amendment, a special division for combating spam would be created within the UKE, to which internet users could complain about receiving spam.
