ComArch’s bid prevails in e-PUAP tender
2007-06-01
The Ministry of Internal Affairs has chosen ComArch, a Cracow-based IT company, as the bidder which submitted the best offer in the tender for e-PUAP (Electronic Platform for Public Administrative Services). The platform is an IT system essential for the online provision of public services to citizens and will permit the integration of systems used in public administrative affairs.
E-PUAP is the first IT-related tender concluded in 2007. During the first stage, i.e. by the end of 2008, it will cost PLN 35m (€9.2m), and PLN 180m (€47.4m) during the second stage. ComArch’s offer was the least lucrative, but the company insists that its experience in e-administration projects carried out for local authorities swayed the Ministry.
The IT development programme adopted by the government at the beginning of the year assumes that 16 projects will be launched by the end of 2007. Total spending by the end of 2010 is expected to exceed PLN 2.5bn (€657.9m). The most extensive projects include healthcare related systems, the land registry, and PESEL2 a population registry system.
