BCC improves revenues by three-quarters in Q1 2007
2007-06-01
BCC, the IT company that offers implementation of SAP software, reported that in the first quarter of 2007 its revenues increased to PLN 10.2m (€2.7m) from PLN 5.8m (€1.5m) in Q1 2006, i.e., by 76%. The firm is not disclosing any figures with regard to profits.
The main areas of focus for BCC are the ERP systems – the company holds a 25% share of the Polish market of SAP systems implementations. The firm works chiefly for larger companies, as SAP’s products are rather expensive in contrast with the solutions offered by domestic producers.
The good results of BCC were prompted by the conclusion of a few major contracts signed in 2006. These included work for the fuels producer PKN Orlen, Huta Ostrowiec steelworks, Horteks Holding, the producer of frozen foodstuffs, and Zabka Polska retail chain. The figures were also improved by the impact of new, long-term outsourcing and maintenance contracts.
BCC is recruiting new SAP consultants in order to be able to process all orders. At the moment, there are 130 consultants.
