Ruch to sell MP3
2007-06-01
Ruch, the largest newspaper distributor in Poland, is planning to start selling MP3 music files, according to a report in Gazeta Prawna.
The offer will be available via an online shopping facility which it plans to launch and via its kiosk chain. With regard to the latter, a customer will be able to buy an MP3 file while saving it on his own MP3 player or a pendrive.
The music offer is expected to be introduced in a month, according to Pawel Sobkow, of the Ruch management, quoted by the paper. He has not, however, said how many files the range will comprise – it is only known that it will include foreign music.
In addition, Ruch has recently submitted a bid to purchase a small store retail chain and a coffee bar chain. The results of the tenders and the names of the two networks have not yet been disclosed.
