Play to have 450 POS by the year-end
2007-06-08
P4, the operator of Play mobile network, has announced that at the moment there are 312 points of sale across the country where its products and services are available. The distribution network consists chiefly of the Germanos chain.
The latter was a distributor of Era, a mobile telephony network owned by PTC, which was acquired by P4 in February 2007. Germanos started selling Play services in May due only to the contract with PTC. At the moment, Play’s offer is available in 230 points of sale under the banner of PlayGermanos. The distributor insists that the rebranding took only a week but refuses to reveal the cost of this operation. P4 intends to have a distribution network consisting of 450 stores by the end of the year. The operator denies that it is going to expand its distribution network by the acquisitions of other mobile networks distributors.
