Committee for IT and Telecommunications to have new chairperson soon

According to unofficial press reports, Minister Elzbieta Jakubiak of the President’s administration is to become the chairperson of the Council of Ministers’ Committee for IT and Telecommunications.
The Committee had been working under Minister Ludwik Dorn, who was recently elected as the Sejm speaker. The interim chairperson was the Prime Minister, Jaroslaw Kaczynski, but he declared in May that a person from outside the Council of Ministers would be appointed as the Committee head.
The Committee is a body designed to coordinate the public administration tasks relating to IT development.
