ABG Ster-Project obtains NATO consulting contract

The IT services provider ABG Ster-Projekt has received a contract for consulting services for NATO. The deal is worth around €3.6m and is to be concluded by the end of 2009 with the option of extending it for two more years.
The contract relates to the NATO IP Crypto Equipment (NICE) environment. The Polish company received it from the NATO Maintenance and Supply Agency (NAMSA). ABG Ster-Projekt netted PLN 1.75m (€0.46m) in Q1 2007, in contrast to PLN 3.61m (€0.95m) in the corresponding period of last year, and revenues grew from PLN 40.48m (€10.7m) to PLN 44.54m (€11.7m). The company is, at the moment, concluding a merger with Spin. The Warsaw Stock Exchange (GPW) recently suspended trading on the latter’s shares, as the merger is about to be finalised.
