O2.pl to charge Tlenofon users per second
2007-06-28
O2.pl, an internet portal, has decided to charge the subscribers of Tlenofon, a VoIP service, per second for calls made via the software. The company also intends to increase the tally of numbering zones available for users.
The per second charging (in contrast to charging the subscribers per minute) allows a client, according to O2.pl, to make more calls, as the user pays only for the actual duration of the calls. The portal plans to offer telephone numbers from 43 numbering zones. Calls from fixed-line networks to Tlenofon subscribers from the same zone will, therefore, be charged as local calls instead of long-distance.
