Warsaw-based system integrator Softbank, which specialises in banking IT systems, has secured PLN 200m in revenues in 2004 due to already signed contracts, Softbank president Aleksander Lesz informed the press. Nevertheless, the company is going to participate in other tenders and IT projects this year. Softbank has recently won PLN 18m contract for Poland's agriculture modernization agency, which had not been signed yet and will add to backlog. As Interfax reports, the integrator will also participate in another Finance Ministry's tender for servicing state budget, and it counts on contracts with Poland's Post Office as well as with the Border Guard. The company will start to benefit from its two largest contracts signed in 2003, with PKO BP for a central IT system and from a government contract for a vehicle and driver registry system - CEPiK. Both of these contracts are well underway. Softbank announced on 2 January 2004 that it had finished the first stage of the CEPiK project including a centralized vehicle registry, with the driver registry and database verification yet to come. In the case of CEPiK tender, Softbank will be paid a gross PLN 230.4m in monthly tranches as of the end of April 2004, and lasting until the end of 2009. The company will have to finish the implementation by the end of 2005 and will be responsible for servicing the system until the end of 2009. In Q1-Q3 2003 Softbank recorded revenues reaching PLN 200m, 6.4% down y-o-y. In Q3 itself Softbank reported a net loss of PLN 5.3m, what caused the company to generate a net loss totalling PLN 5m after Q1-Q3 period.
