Twelve electronic companies and research centres awaiting privatisation
2010-01-18
In accordance with the privatisation plan for 2008-2011, the Treasury plans to privatise twelve companies and research centres from the electronic and electrotechnical segments by the end of 2010. Seven of these companies are fully state-owned.
Among the most interesting offers is the Mining Informatics Centre (COIG), one of the largest IT firms that remain in the hands of the Treasury. Seven companies—Asseco Poland, B3 System, Ericpol Telecom, Infovide-Matrix, Optimus, Web Inn and Weglokoks—have already bid to buy COIG.
In turn, such companies as TELKOM-TELMOR, Unitra-Unizet, and the Institute of Computer Systems for Automation and Measurements (IKSAiP), cannot find investors.
Among other companies awaiting privatisations are Lumel, the producer of electrical measuring instruments, BIAZET, electronic components producer, and Helios, the bulb producer.
