Comarch to launch ERP Semiramis system on the Chinese market
2010-01-22
Comarch, a listed software producer, intends to enter the
Chinese market thanks to a joint venture with
Inspur, one of the largest IT suppliers in China. The company plans to sell the ERP Semiramis system, created by
SoftM, the German software producer, in China.
In summer 2009, Comarch commenced implementing its strategy of entering the Asian markets. In September 2009 it signed an agreement with four Chinese IT producers and in November 2009 it prolonged a contract on partnership with SCM specialists.
In China, Inspur is a leader among the companies providing IT solutions for the accounting segment, servicing 32,000 clients. The Comarch management underlines, however, that there is a large demand for IT services in logistics and production segments and ERP Semiramis is to meet that demand.
