KCSP launching Wi-Fi Mesh technology in the villages and small towns

2010-02-11

KCSP, the Gliwice-based ISP, intends to develop its wireless network in the countryside. The project under the Ostatnia Mila ("Last Mile") name is to focus on establishing infrastructure based on Wi-Fi Mesh technology in villages and small towns. The offer is directed to the firms and local authorities that could apply for the EU grants for building the Internet access infrastructure. KSCP also offers bridging finance and support in completing the applications for the EU funds.
The company has already signed four contracts with three private companies and one municipality. In 2010, KCSP intends to set up 40 local networks.
Eventually, the company plans to buy back and consolidate the networks belonging to municipalities into one nationwide network.
