2010-02-11
Cyfrowy Polsat, a digital satellite TV platform,
launched new services offering
broadband internet access and mobile telephony. In the first phase 20 million Poles will be covered by the new services range, as the company reported. The Internet service will be based on the HSPA+ network built by
Sferia for
Aero 2, with which Polsat signed an agreement on cooperation. Data transmission in the HSPA+ technology allows using the radio frequencies in the most optimal way; it greatly increases the speed of data transmission, reducing delays in the transmission and increases the network capacity. Download speed is up to 21 Mb/s, and upload speed is up to 5.76 Mb/s.
Cyfrowy Polsat wants thus to make its offer more attractive and to increase customers' loyalty. By way of example, the subscription offering the Internet for PLN 1 a month is available only for the television subscribers that will subscribe to one of the seven TV packages (from Mini to SuperFilm) offered by Polsat, pay subscription fees on time and do not change to a lower TV package. Also the mobile phone service for PLN 1 a month is available only for the Polsat television subscribers.
