Digital TV platforms gaining new viewers in 2009

According to Rzeczpospolita, the three Polish digital TV platforms, Cyfrowy Polsat, Cyfra+ and “n”, had a combined total of 5.4 million viewers at the end of 2009. The largest player, Cyfrowy Polsat, gained 476,000 new users in 2009 and the number of its viewers grew to 3.2 million. Cyfra+, the second-largest platform in Poland, attracted 160,000 new subscribers and by the end of 2009 it had 1.5 million clients. In turn,TVN, which operates the “n” platform, reported 697,000 subscribers at the end of 2009, reporting 300,000 new clients. In total, the three players added 936,000 subscribers in 2009.
