Dialog improving its profit in 2009

In Q4 2009, Telefonia Dialog reported a net profit of PLN 2.4m (€0.6m), against PLN 262.3m (€65.9m) of net loss posted in the corresponding period of 2008 and revenues of PLN 131.7m (€33.1m), a decline of 4.1% when compared to Q4 2007.
In 2009 as a whole, Dialog showed PLN 520.9m (€130.9m) of sales revenues, reflecting a 6% decline year on year, while net profit totalled to PLN 10.4m (€2.6m) in comparison to the net loss of PLN 292.1m (€73.4m) in 2008.
By the end of 2009 Dialog had 445,200 fixed-line subscribers, which is 20,000 fewer than in September 2009, and 250,300 WLR subscribers. The number of Dialog’s Internet users totalled to 157,200 by the end of Q4 2009, while in 2008 the figure was 136,800. Also, the popularity of the DIALOGmedia triple-play offer, including fixed-line telephony, Internet connection and digital television service, is growing. By the end of 2009 the offer had 21,000 subscribers, a rise of 17,500 users in comparison to 2008.
