The sales of computers declining in Poland

The demand for computers in Poland in the fourth quarter of 2009 went down by 16% year on year to 950,000 pieces, according to IDC Polska. The desktop computer segment reported a 26% decline year on year, while the laptop segment showed a 10% decline in comparison to Q4 2008.
In the whole of 2009, the sales of computers went down by 23% year on year and totalled to 2.8 million pieces, of which 1.8 million were notebooks. This is the first decline in the history of the
Polish computer market. By way of comparison, in 2005-2007 the market grew by around 30% annually.
