FreecoNet and O2.pl join forces on VoIP market

FreecoNet and O2.pl, the operator of the horizontal portal of the same name, will join forces in the segment of Voice-over-IP (VoIP) services, as Rzeczpospolita reported. In accordance with the agreement, O2.pl will transfer its VoIP business under the Tlenofon name to FreecoNet. Both companies plan to create one brand name for the VoIP service.
FreecoNet is the largest player on the VoIP market in Poland. In March 2009, it also acquired the FON24.pl platform. Jointly, FreecoNet and O2.pl have around 70,000 users of VoIP services.
