Orlen, KGHM, PGE and Weglokoks plan to sell their stakes in Polkomtel, the operatorof the Plus mobile network, simultaneously, as Rzeczpospolita reported. As a result, 75.5% of the shares will be put up for sale at the end of 2010 or the beginning of 2011. Part of the shares could also be sold on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. The shareholders also plan to send an offer to relevant telecommunication companies.
KGHM and Orlen, which together hold an almost 50% stake in Polkomtel, have already met with Orascom, the Egyptian telecommunications company that might be interested in the acquisition of the Polish operator.
