Polish media and entertainment market to grow faster than the global market

The Polish media and entertainment market will be reporting an average annual growth rate of 5.5% over the next four years, according to the recent report by PricewaterhouseCoopers. The value of the market will total to around $11bn in 2014. The television advertising segment will keep its dominant position in the market and its share will account for 47% of the whole advertising segment in Poland in 2014. Also among the fastest growing sectors will be the Internet and Internet advertising, as well as digital television platforms.
The spending on TV advertising will grow from $1.17bn in 2009 to $1.5bn in 2014. The segment of online advertising will increase from $402m in 2009 to $717m in 2014. In turn, the spending on ads in the print media will decline from $196m in 2009 to $194bn in 2014.
PricewaterhouseCoopers estimates that the number of subscribers of the TV platforms will total to 13.7 million users in 2014 in Poland.
In general, the Polish media and entertainment market will grow faster than the global market, which will be reporting a growth rate of 5% per year on average to total $1.7 trillion in 2014.
