TP SA signs new contract with ZUS


2010-07-23

Telekomunikacja Polska (TP SA) has won a tender for servicing the network for data transmission in the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS). In accordance with the agreement, TP SA will provide the data transmission systems to 300 units of ZUS as well as Internet access. The operator will also be servicing and maintaining the WAN KSI network.
TP SA has been cooperating with ZUS for the last twenty years. To date, the operator has been providing the services in Frame Relay technology. In the case of the new contract, TP SA will use for the first time IP VPN technology based on the MPLS protocol. The value of the three-year contract is PLN 31.6m (€7.7m) gross.
