Qumak-Sekom, a software integrator, has withdrawn from its acquisition plans, focusing on organic growth instead, as
Parkiet reported. The company plans to set up a data centre in Krakow. The facility is to emerge in the Technology Park in Zakrzowek district in Krakow in cooperation with Jagiellonian University, the University of Science and Technology and the city’s authorities.
The construction of the complex is scheduled to commence in spring 2011 and its completion is planned for 2012/2013. Investment cost is estimated at PLN 70m (€17.5m), of which 50% will be covered by the company’s own money.
Using the data centre, Qumak-Sekom will provide outsourcing services for the IT segment. Some space in the complex will also be offered for lease for other companies from the
IT industry.
In H1 2010, Qumak-Sekom posted between PLN 80m (€20m) and PLN 90m (€22.5m) of sales revenues. In order to maintain the results from 2009, the firm must generate PLN 200m (€50m) of turnover in H2 2010.
