Hawe continues fibre-optic project

Hawe, a company which specialises in network construction for telecommunications operators, has commenced, in August 2010, construction of the third phase of fiber-optic nationwide network. The Poznan-Leszno stretch of the network will be completed in 2010/2011 and the cost of the investment is estimated at PLN 70m (€17.5m). The whole programme of the 4,000 km-long fibre-optic network will be finalised in 2012. The project is financed by three bond programmes as well as the company’s own funds.
In H1 2010, Hawe posted PLN 40m (€10m) of sales revenues and PLN 15m (€3.8m) of net profit, while in the analogous period of the previous year the figures were PLN 25.6m (€6.4m) and PLN 6.7m (€1.7m), respectively.
